Our Story
Breen Family Dentistry welcomes you to our dental family, where we always strive to maintain a calm, professional environment for all your dental needs.
Breen Family Dentistry has been a staple in East Grand Rapids since 1985. The practice is built on honesty, integrity, and the desire to give each patient the best possible treatment. Dr. Zach recently purchased the practice from his father, Dr. Randy Breen.
Dr. Zach and his staff believe in delivering quality dental care and treating others the way you would want to be treated - earning us a reputation as one of the best dental clinics in the area.

Meet the Team
Dr. Zachary Breen
What do you like about dentistry?
While growing up, Dr. Zach had many opportunities to shadow his dad at the office. He enjoyed the patient interactions and watching his dad better the patients’ oral health. Dr. Zach enjoys restorative dentistry, as well as helping to create beautiful smiles. He is continuously bettering himself for his patients by learning the newest advancement and developments in dentistry.
Education
Dr. Zach attend Grand Valley State University on a football scholarship where he graduated with his bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences. Afterwards, he attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and graduated with his DDS. He then went on to serve as an officer in the United States Navy Dental Corps. He was grateful for the opportunity to serve his fellow Americans and is excited to have made Breen Family Dentistry his final “duty station”.
Hobbies
Dr. Zach loves spending time with his wife and children, and enjoys anything to do with being outdoors, such as hiking, fishing and throwing the ball for their dog, Birch.
Lisa - RDH
Lisa has been with Breen Family Dentistry as a registered dental hygienist for over 26 years.
Lisa enjoys traveling and spending time at Lake Michigan with her family, and she also enjoys experiencing all the different restaurants and venues in Downtown GR.
Allison - RDH
Allison has been with Breen Family Dentistry as a registered dental hygienist for over 25 years.
Allison loves watching her children be active and participate in sport activities. She also enjoys reading and camping with family.
Carrie - RDH
Carrie recently joined Breen Family Dentistry but has been practicing as a registered dental hygienist for over 15 years.
She loves spending time with her husband and girls!
They all enjoy the great Michigan beaches during the summer and downhill skiing or snowshoeing in the winter.
Carrie and her family like exploring all the parks, zoos and amazing food GR has to offer!
Mary - Business Coordinator
Mary loves spending time exploring Michigan through camping, hiking, fishing, visiting the many beaches and state/national parks and forests.
When spending time in Grand Rapids, Mary enjoys attending concerts, comedy shows, Art Prize and the numerous biking trails.
She also enjoys gardening, photography, drawing, painting and spending time with her family and friend.
Kennedy - RDA
Kennedy graduated from dental assisting school as a Registered Dental Assistant. She began her career at Breen Family Dentistry and has been continue to provide the greatest care possible for every patient since day one.
Kennedy enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends during her time away from the office.
She also enjoys traveling to the many different beaches Michigan has to offer and boating.
Lauren - Administrative Assistant
Lauren joined Breen Family Dentistry with over 14 years of experience in the medical field. She received her degree in photography and is a professional photographer.
For fun, Lauren loves to practice her photography, pottery, sew costumes, read, cook, spend time with her family, play complicated board games, and play with her dog Dottie!
Living in Grand Rapids gives Lauren the opportunity to try new food with her family at the many different restaurants. She likes going to the Fulton Street Farmer's Market for fresh produce to cook with, as well as checking out all of the great museums and gardens in the area!
Abbey - DA
Abbey enjoys hiking with her dog and the many nature trails in West Michigan to explore.
She loves to go on bike rides and roller skating in her free time.
Abbey loves cooking and listening to music as well!
